Ingredients
  

2 eggplants, sliced
250 g ground lamb or beef
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup tomato puree
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cups béchamel sauce
1/2 cup grated cheese
Salt & pepper to taste

Method
 

Brush eggplant slices with oil, roast until soft.
    Cook onion, garlic, and ground meat with tomato puree and cinnamon.
      Layer eggplants and meat sauce in baking dish.
        Pour béchamel sauce on top, sprinkle cheese.
          Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 45 mins.
            Let cool slightly before serving.
