Ingredients
  

  • 500 g beef sirloin or tenderloin thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 200 g mushrooms sliced
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup 240 ml beef broth
  • ½ cup 120 ml sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving

Method
 

  1. Prepare Beef: Season sliced beef with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook beef in batches until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook Vegetables: In the same pan, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant. Add mushrooms and cook until soft.
  4. Make the Sauce: Sprinkle flour over mushrooms, stir well. Gradually pour in beef broth, stirring until thickened.
  5. Add Flavor: Stir in Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Reduce heat to low.
  6. Combine: Return beef to pan, add sour cream, and simmer gently for 5 minutes until creamy.
  7. Serve: Spoon over noodles or rice and garnish with parsley.

Notes

💡Notes
Don’t boil the sauce after adding sour cream; it may curdle.
You can substitute beef with chicken or mushrooms for a lighter version.
