- Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add cold butter cubes and rub until crumbly. Add cold water slowly and form a dough. Chill for 20 minutes.
- Roll Out:
- Roll the dough into a circle and place it in the tart pan. Trim extra edges.
- Preheat Oven:
- Set to 190°C (375°F).
- Prepare Apples:
- Peel and thinly slice the apples. Toss gently with lemon juice.
- Arrange:
- Layer the apple slices over the crust in a circular pattern. Brush melted butter over them and sprinkle sugar. Add cinnamon if you want.
- Bake:
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until apples are golden and edges are crisp.
- Glaze:
- Warm apricot jam and brush over the tart for a shiny finish.
- Serve:
- Cool slightly and serve warm.

For extra richness, add a thin layer of almond cream under the apples.
Use firm apples only — mushy apples break.
