Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp:
  • 400 g large shrimp peeled & deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ tsp chili flakes optional
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
For the Rice Bowl:
  • 2 cups 400 g cooked jasmine or basmati rice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil optional
  • ½ cup steamed broccoli or edamame
  • ½ avocado sliced (optional)

Equipment

  • Non-stick skillet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Rice cooker or pot
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. Prepare Shrimp: Pat dry the shrimp and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Cook Garlic Butter: Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Cook Shrimp: Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Add chili flakes and lemon juice, toss well.
  4. Assemble Bowl: Place warm rice in bowls. Drizzle soy sauce and sesame oil. Top with shrimp, broccoli, and avocado slices.
  5. Garnish: Sprinkle fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

💡Notes
Use fresh shrimp for best texture. Frozen ones should be thawed and patted dry.
Add a fried egg or sriracha for extra flavor and color.
