Ingredients

  • 2 beef steaks ribeye or sirloin, about 250 g each
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley chopped
  • ½ tsp lemon juice optional

Equipment

  • Grill pan or outdoor grill
  • Basting brush
  • Small bowl
  • Meat thermometer
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Prep Steak: Bring steaks to room temperature. Pat dry with paper towel.
  2. Season: Rub olive oil, salt, and pepper evenly over both sides.
  3. Grill: Preheat grill pan on high. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side (medium-rare) or until preferred doneness.
  4. Make Garlic Butter: In a small pan, melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook 30 sec until fragrant. Stir in parsley and lemon juice.
  5. Rest & Serve: Let steaks rest 5 minutes. Pour garlic butter over top before serving.

Notes

Always rest steaks after grilling — it keeps them juicy.
For added flavor, mix a little soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce into the butter.
