Ingredients

For the Shrimp:
  • 300 –350 g medium or large shrimp peeled & deveined
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika optional, for color
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
For Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce:
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp honey optional for light sweetness

Equipment

  • Medium skillet or fry pan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Mixing bowl
  • Servings plate

Method

  1. Season Shrimp: In a bowl, combine shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix lightly.
  2. Sear Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and slightly golden. Remove from pan.
  3. Make Sauce: Lower heat to medium. Add butter to the same pan. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté 30–40 seconds until fragrant (do not burn).
  4. Add Flavor: Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, honey, and parsley.
  5. Finish: Return cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss in the sauce for 1 minute.
  6. Serve Hot: Plate and finish with extra parsley + a lemon slice.

Notes

💡Notes
Shrimp cooks fast — overcooking makes it rubbery.
Honey is optional but balances the lemon beautifully.
