Ingredients
  

  • 400 g firm tofu sliced into cutlets
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup plant milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds optional
Oil for shallow frying
For Katsu Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire vegan
  • 1 tsp sugar

Equipment

  • Frying pan
  • Shallow Bowls
  • Paper towels
  • knife
  • chopping board

Method
 

  1. Press tofu to remove extra water.
  2. Season slices with salt & pepper.
  3. Coat tofu in flour → dip in milk → coat in panko.
  4. Heat oil and fry until golden crisp on both sides.
  5. Mix sauce ingredients and drizzle over the tofu.
  6. Serve with rice or cabbage salad.

Notes

💡Notes
For extra crisp, double-coat in panko.
Air-fry: 190°C for 15 minutes.
